The Dark Knight Rises

Everyone has a favorite color, a favorite food, tv show, store, book... And while not everyone likes superheroes, I think it's safe to assume most everyone has a favorite superhero, as well! I was fortunate enough to grow up with a big brother who was VERY into superheroes. I had to watch all their cartoons every Saturday morning. I had to hear all about their latest comic books. And their action figures were my Barbie dolls' boyfriends! 

I didn't really have a preference in a certain masked adventurer until junior high. That's when I fell in love with Peter Parker. I loved how he was a dorky, uncertain nerd by day and a damsel in distress rescuer by night. When the new movies came out a few years later, I couldn't help but crush on Tobey Maguire. (It could have, also, been due to his uncanny resemblance to Jake Gyllenhaal, who is quite possibly the love of my life) I love the color pink, lobster, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Great Gatsby, Victoria's Secret, and... I love Spiderman! 

My husband, on the other hand, is partial to the rich, attractive, entrepreneur; Bruce Wayne. He's never explained to me why Batman is his favorite, but I'm assuming it's because of all his cool toys! 

In the spirit of my husband's favorite superhero and the new Batman movie, I wanted to share these pictures of Doc, our newest baby who I feel terrible for not blogging about more often. They were from his newborn photo session that we had done by Michelle Elise Photography.
