Wrap it.

My friend recently started selling It Works Body wraps. If you don't know what they are, it's a herbal wrap that goes around your stomach. It supposedly detoxes your body, causing you to lose inches in your midsection. She could not stop praising this product, telling me how amazing it was, but I'm a skeptic. I never fall for infomercials. Door to door salesmen never get the best of me. And anything that guarantees weight loss in minutes has got to be a scam, in my book. So, I kept blowing her off.

Then, as we were talking about my family's photo shoot coming up, she mentioned her wraps again. I told myself it was a waste of time. The wraps would have the same effect as wearing a corset all day. The compression would cause temporary inches lost and heck, I have plenty of corsets laying around the house. (This mama likes to look sexy for her man!) But she was so avid and I figured I didn't have anything to lose, so I let her wrap me over the weekend.

The first thing I noticed with my wrap was that she didn't wrap me tight creating a compression. She wrapped me so loose that I was actually worried she wasn't doing it right. But she said she knew what she was doing. She made me drink over 60 oz of water in 45 minutes, while we waited for the wrap to do it's thing. and when we took it off...

(Okay, so I'm not going to lie, I thought she was measuring me wrong, so I waited for her to leave and rechecked measurements on my own)

I had lost 3 inches off my waist in those 45 minutes.

This morning, three days later, the inches are still gone and I have in fact, lost more! In total I have lost 9 inches in different spots on my tummy since doing my wrap.

I'm really hoping the inches stay off! But we will see.
