After living next door to each other for over a year, M and I finally started getting to know each other, when we discovered our kids were in the same Kindergarten class. We started walking them to school together each day and after a week or so, we found out that both of us had a common interest, getting in shape. So we both started doing Turbo Fire!
But over the past weekend, we decided we wanted to take on an even bigger challenge then turbo fire...We wanted to start running.
I had heard about this program C25K that helps condition you for 5k marathons and we thought what the heck! Why not! We looked over our Turbo Fire class schedule to see what days worked better for doing c25k and we agreed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays...
That made today Day 1! And Oh Heavens was it hard. I found myself checking my phone every few seconds to see if it was time to start walking again and by the last 3 jog intervals, I seriously felt like I was going to die.... but you know what? We did it. And we finished strong. We are so proud of ourselves. Now we are hyped and ready for Day 2! And come this spring we will be running 5ks just wait.... you'll see!
I love this! And good for you both! I have never heard of this program and looked it up as soon as I read your post. Now I have just finished my Day 1! Thank you for your inspiration! Now you have to keep it up because I'm gonna follow along! :)
