Last week I heard this quote by Gandhi that really stuck with me. It reminded me of my son, Handsome. It was something I wanted him to live by. Something he shows me everyday. Something I hope to show him.
I thought the quote would make for perfect wall art to hang above his crib! And it just so happened I had supplies and time this weekend to make it.
Wanna make one too?
You Will Need:
a blank canvas (I used a 10x20)
alphabet stickers
paint
paint brush
(Ignore my dirty rug, I'd made a mess when I made my wreath a few minutes prior)
Paint your canvas. I went with black.
While you wait for your paint to dry cut out the letters you will need for your quote and arrange them how you want them on the canvas. (I do this step, because if I didn't I'd end up not being able to fit my quote.)
I had to add 3 coats of paint to get it perfect.
Then peel your stickers off and place them on your canvas. Make sure you press them down REALLY good all over. You don't want little edges sticking up. It will collect dust and then it won't stick as well and eventually fall off.
Then hang it up! Don't be like me and just stick it on your mantle, because you keep forgetting to put it up.
