painting for teachers

We spent our morning watching Drop Dead Fred (which I swear was much more appropriate when I was a child. Did not remember it being that... not child friendly) and Clueless. Then we wanted to do something outside, but since we are moving a lot of our outside stuff is packed up. We decided to take one of our indoor activities outside and paint a picture on a flat canvas for our teachers!

Heidi's kindergarten teacher used bumblebees as a theme for the classroom this year, so she wanted to paint a bee! While Skywalker's teacher went with a sock monkey theme. Although Heidi is gifted when it comes to the arts, both the kids asked me to draw their picture. I drew a bee and a sock monkey, but left the painting to the kids.

LB sat on his old bike and supervised the craft project. (He ate a piece of chocolate cake prior.)

After they finished painting I used my Silhouette machine to cut the teacher's names out in vinyl and the kids helped me place it on their paintings.

They are so excited to give them to their teachers on their last day of school! And I had fun getting to craft with my babies today.
