If there is one thing LB and I are good at, it's making a mess in the kitchen. We both have this insane sweet tooth that often gets the best of us and this morning I was browsing through pinterest Easter boards, when I found this cute treat and we just had to make it. So, when the big kids left for school, we blew off our household chores and headed for the kitchen.

We melted out butter and marshmallows in a pot.
We added the chow mein and stirred it carefully, so it didn't break.
Then we waited for it to cool, a little.
Once it was cool, we sprayed our hands with PAM and we shaped our chow mein into little bird's nest.
We gave them time time to completely cool, so we could decorate them with peeps and chocolate eggs.
*** I have made these before back in grade school using peanut butter with chow mein instead of the marshmallows and butter, so that's another way to make them, if you want to try that out. ***

Now, we just have to wait for our big kids to get home from school so we can eat our treats.
And while we wait, we have chores to catch up on.
